Three Invention machines: keeping my RS3 money machine running

I went from one basic Invention machine to three upgraded disassemblers. Now I need enough GP to keep them fed while I get on with my day.

Getting the machines to pay for their next batch

I wanted this account to keep making progress while I was working or logged out. Building the first disassembler was a start, but buying more machines immediately gave me another problem: I needed enough cash to keep them running.

My loop is magic logs into simple parts, then simple parts and energy into divine charges. The machines handle the disassembly. I still buy the inputs, collect the parts, make the charges and sell them. Some charges also go back into the generator and my gear.

I need enough money left over to keep buying supplies. Spending the whole cash stack on another machine leaves a very expensive decoration until I can afford to feed it.

Three upgraded disassemblers

My three Auto disassembler mk. IIs can each process 60 items an hour. They each need 40 power from the generator, so keeping the generator charged is part of keeping them running.

My account reached 76 Invention during the episode, and I used a temporary boost to research the upgrade.

Each upgraded machine holds up to 13,000 items, so I can leave them working for days before I need to refill them.

From about 6.8M to 31M a fortnight

The old setup could make about 6.8M GP every two weeks. With three upgraded machines on magic logs, I reckon that could be around 31M. That is a pretty big upgrade for something that keeps working while I sleep.

Now I need to keep all three fed and turn the parts into charges when I collect them.

Mining paid for the upgrades

Mining kept the account funded while I trained Invention. I made the magic golem outfit and tried concentrated gold, but I got carried away with the first sale. The stone spirits were costing more than I expected, and porters were another cost.

The ore sales in this episode came to roughly 30M GP. That helped me keep training Invention and buying the machine upgrades.

Training Invention without leaving everything on the floor

I levelled augmented salamanders and armour, then used disassembly or siphoning to get the Invention XP. I also wanted perks that helped while I trained. The training carried me from 61 to 76 Invention.

The more AFK I made the combat, the more charms I left on the ground. Getting a Charming Imp meant a detour for Dungeoneering tokens, but it gave that combat a useful extra payoff. The practical question for me was whether I could leave a task running without constantly eating or collecting drops.

The farm needed a food supply

A viewer suggested feeding the spiders seeds instead of meat. That helped, but buying enough seeds became another job. I still wanted the bulk meat shop unlocked by As a First Resort.

I also unlocked breeding in the large pens and returned to the Ranch Out of Time to get the small pen and frogs started. Finding enough food is still part of keeping all of this going.

The produce sales came to about 2.7M GP, which I think was roughly a week's worth. I am now letting the animals breed instead of buying replacements, and the food is cheap. I reckon the farm could make roughly 5M over two weeks.

Kingdom and Ports are at different stages

For Kingdom, I am using 10 workers on maples and 5 on raw fish. With approval kept topped up, I reckon that could bring in about 4.6M GP every two weeks.

I need to keep the coffer funded and remember to maintain approval alongside everything else.

Ports went from two ships to three, and I started collecting lacquer. There is no useful cash return to report yet. For now, I am building up the ships and resources while the other systems fund the account.

How close is the account to 100M a fortnight?

Between the machines, Kingdom and the farm, I reckon the offline systems could make about 40.6M GP a fortnight.

The goal also allows 10 hours of mostly AFK play every two weeks. Luminite Mining with Perfect Juju looks like roughly 2.5M GP an hour for me, which could bring the total to around 65.6M.

There are still better AFK methods to try and more offline upgrades to work towards.

Keeping the money machine running

I have gone from one basic disassembler to three upgraded machines, but they still need supplies. Keeping enough cash around to feed them is the next part of making this work.

Meanwhile, the farm and Ports can keep moving towards their next unlocks. I am getting closer to the original target: 100M GP every fortnight from offline systems plus 10 hours of mostly AFK play.
