Anachronia base camp: passive benefits and what to unlock first
Keep Slayer helmet and skillcape perks with different gear, choose useful totems, and put your workers towards Dream of Iaia training. Here's what I'd unlock and how to get the camp moving.
Keep your Slayer helmet bonuses with another helmet
The tier 3 Slayer Lodge gives you a Slayer helmet stand. Store your helmet there and its passive damage and accuracy bonuses still apply on Slayer assignments while you wear a different helmet. That works outside Anachronia too. You also keep protection effects such as the earmuffs and nose peg.
The lodge has a separate damage boost on Anachronia, reaching 6% at tier 3. The stand doesn't give you the stored helmet's armour or teleports, so choose your worn helmet for the equipment benefits you actually want.
Have a skillcape perk active with a different cape
The tier 3 Player Lodge has a skillcape rack. Put a skillcape on the rack to have its passive perk active while you wear a different cape. You can retrieve the cape when you want to change your setup.
Defence and Invention are two examples: Defence gives you a sign of life effect on a one-hour cooldown, while Invention reduces charge drain by 2%, making augmented equipment a little cheaper to use. The Wiki's full skillcape rack list is linked below.
Choose three totems for the things you actually do
If you do clues, start looking for Treasure. If you run the original God Wars Dungeon, look at Intimidation. Navigation shortens your Player-Owned Ports voyages.

You can place three totems on the island at once. Their effects stay active until you remove them, with no charging or weekly swap restriction. If you already have War's Blessing 2, you already have Intimidation's kill-count benefit and can use that slot for something else.
- Treasure — one fewer clue step.
- Intimidation — skip original God Wars Dungeon kill count, excluding Nex.
- Vitality — 25% more maximum life points, capped at 1,500 extra. Does not stack with the bonfire health boost.
- Navigation — Player-Owned Ports voyages are 15% shorter.
- Summoning — familiars last 16 minutes longer.
- Crystal — elven clan pickpocketing lockouts are 25% shorter.
- Abyss — use Anachronia Teleport to reach its pedestal.
Turn offline gathering into Dream of Iaia training
Dream of Iaia is the reason I keep coming back to these resources after the camp upgrades. My Ironman is almost 99 Herblore, and since unlocking Iaia I've trained it almost exclusively at the Herblore station. It's been super nice and chill. Edit: I got 99 Herblore shortly after making this video. Woohoo!

Workers gather while you're working, sleeping or logged out. Contribute their resources to an Iaia station to store XP, then train at the station to earn it. Every two resources fund one base XP. Each station can hold 350,000 XP.
With 60 workers, you gather 86,400 resources a day, enough to supply 43,200 base XP. With the Fort's full worker bonus, 70 workers supply 100,800 resources or 50,400 base XP a day.
- Herblore — leaves.
- Hunter — vines.
- Construction — stone.
- Crafting — hides.
- Fishing — clay.
- Fletching — wood.
How often should you empty camp storage?
A tier 3 Storehouse holds 150,000 of each resource. Putting everyone on leaves is useful when Herblore is your priority, but that one storage slot fills sooner. Splitting workers gives you more time between contributions without reducing the total gathering rate.
With 60 workers and empty storage, one resource fills in about 1 day 18 hours. An even split between two resources gives about 3 days 11 hours; three resources gives about 5 days 5 hours. More workers shorten them.
For a single-skill setup I'd contribute daily, or roughly every day and a half. If you prefer less frequent visits, split the workers between skills you want to train. Once an Iaia station reaches its own XP cap, train there to make room for more contributions.
Big Game Hunter, the spa and the Ranch
If you like Big Game Hunter, the Hunter Lodge makes Anachronia encounters easier. Tier 1 gives a 10% chance of extra Woodcutting resources, tier 2 gives another 2.4 seconds before you're caught, and tier 3 removes one frog type from the encounter.
The bait box lets you keep bait at the hunting areas. Its final upgrade also lets you deposit loot into the bank from there. It costs 100,000 wood and 100,000 hides for that final tier, so you'll need the tier 3 Storehouse to hold the materials.
The spa increases base Agility XP on Anachronia by 5%, 7% and 10% at its three tiers, excluding silverhawk XP. The first tier also gives salt-water, thermal and mud treatments without needing As a First Resort. Camp resources also pay for animal pens at the Ranch Out of Time.
Start the camp and grow the workforce
Take the Stormbreaker beside the Archaeology Guild to Anachronia and complete Giles' introduction. You'll have your first Town Hall and 10 workers gathering. I'd unlock the lodestone and bank chest early: getting back quickly and having a proper bank makes the island much nicer to use.

The lodestone costs 150 stone and 150 clay. The Town Hall bank chest costs 500 wood and 500 stone and replaces the deposit box.
Then follow the repeating building dependency: Storehouse, Sleeping Quarters, Town Hall. Keep going until all three are tier 3. Sleeping Quarters increases your workforce from 10 to 15, then 30, then 60. Storehouse tiers raise the per-resource cap from the starting 5,000 to 25,000, 80,000 and 150,000.
Assign workers to the materials needed for your next upgrade. Splitting them across those resources is an easy way to progress without repeatedly returning to move everybody. The infrastructure table gives each building's cost at that tier.
Speed it up with Fort Forinthry and Advance Time
If you have the Construction levels, consider the Fort's Command Centre. After New Foundations, tier 1 at 25 Construction gives the Anachronia table for remote camp management. Tier 2 at 70 Construction adds five workers; tier 3 at 99 gives ten extra in total. These Construction requirements can be boosted, and each upgrade needs the previous tier.
Ten extra workers doubles a starting workforce of ten. At a finished camp, the same bonus takes you from 60 to 70. That's why getting the Fort bonus early can make the first buildings move much faster.
Advance Time is on the standard spellbook and needs 93 Magic, which can be boosted. Select Anachronia base camp to receive 24 hours of production from your current workers and their current assignments. Make room in storage and allocate workers to what you need before casting.
You get three casts per week, shared with the spell's other activities. They reset on Wednesday at 00:00 game time. If you don't have a better use for them and want to finish the camp, an early cast can help unlock more workers. If it pays for a Sleeping Quarters upgrade, build that before the next cast so the larger workforce contributes.
Requirements for the final reward buildings
Each final lodge or spa upgrade needs its earlier tiers, a tier 3 Town Hall and a tier 3 Storehouse. The camp's building skill requirements cannot be boosted.
The material amounts below are for the final upgrade only. Dream of Iaia training can award all four rare upgrade items, so it can help finish these buildings while you train.
- Slayer helmet stand — tier 3 Slayer Lodge, 90 Slayer, a dinosaur tooth, and 120,000 each of vines, stone and clay. Placing the helmet needs 20 Defence. The tooth can also come from killing dinosaurs or vile blooms.
- Skillcape rack — tier 3 Player Lodge, 90 Construction, a dinosaur rib bone, and 150,000 each of vines, hides and clay. The rib can also come from island activities including Big Game Hunter, Agility and Slayer monsters.
- Hunter Lodge tier 3 — 90 Hunter, a reinforced dinosaur pelt, and 120,000 each of wood, leaves and hides.
- Spa tier 3 — 90 Agility, essential oils, and 120,000 each of wood, leaves and clay.
Get your totems and build the Remototem
Each totem needs its own top, middle and base. The pieces come from different island activities: Big Game Hunter, Agility, Slayer, Herby Werby, searching rubble and finding ancient zygomites. Use the full totem-piece list linked below to work towards the effects you want. Combine the three pieces and place the completed totem on an island pedestal.
The Remototem lets you change those totems from base camp instead of running to the pedestals. Its base is a reward from Desperate Measures. The top is a random reward from selling animals to Ranch Out of Time buyers; you can start with frogs at 42 Farming. The middle comes from mining on Anachronia, including adamantite and luminite rocks at 40 Mining.
Combine all three pieces, then build the Remote Totem Access Point through Giles. It consumes the completed Remototem and 150,000 each of wood, stone and vines. You'll need the tier 3 Storehouse's capacity for that cost. You can use ordinary totems before building this remote access point.
Unlock your first Iaia station
Complete Extinction, speak to Hannibus at the Effigy Incubator and enter through the hibernation pod. A station needs 75 in its own skill, which cannot be boosted, and 50,000 of each of the six camp resources.
Building it gives you 15,000 XP straight away and stores another 135,000 XP to train with. After that, contribute only its matching resource. Choose the skill you want to train, set your workers accordingly, and let the camp keep gathering between sessions.
