Dream of Iaia: unlock AFK training and get your camp ready
Start your Anachronia workers, build your first Dream of Iaia station and choose the resources for six AFK skills.
Start the camp before you need the XP
You can get the camp gathering before you finish Extinction. Take the boat from the Varrock Dig Site to Anachronia and speak to Giles for the introduction. Activate the lodestone and build the bank chest so returning is easy.
Put your workers on the materials for your next infrastructure upgrade. Work through the Storehouse, Sleeping Quarters and Town Hall upgrades until all three are tier 3. The Sleeping Quarters grows your workforce from 10 to 15, then 30, then 60; the other two buildings let you keep upgrading and hold the resources you need.
Getting those three buildings to tier 3 takes about 37 days of worker gathering without boosts. You don't need to wait for the finished camp to use Iaia: a tier 2 Storehouse already holds enough resources to build a station.
Unlock and build your first station
Finish Extinction, then speak to Hannibus at the Effigy Incubator and enter the hibernation pod. Choose the station for the skill you want to train.
Each station needs an unboosted level 75 in its skill and 50,000 of every camp resource: wood, vines, stone, leaves, hides and clay. That cost is paid separately for each station. Building one awards 15,000 XP immediately and puts another 135,000 XP into the station for training.
After building it, contribute its matching resource to store more XP. Interact with the station to train.
- Herblore: leaves.
- Crafting: hides.
- Construction: stone.
- Fishing: clay.
- Fletching: wood.
- Hunter: vines.
How much training can your workers supply?
Each worker gathers 60 resources an hour, including while you're logged out. At Iaia, two resources supply one base XP. With 60 workers gathering all day, that's 86,400 resources for 43,200 base XP of training.

You can use XP boosts at the station, including bonus XP, pulse cores and suitable skilling outfits, to get more XP from the same supplies. The Fort Forinthry Command Centre can also add workers: five at tier 2 and ten in total at tier 3. A full camp with those ten extra workers supplies 50,400 base XP a day.
Choose a routine that fits how often you play
If Herblore is the goal, assign workers to leaves after you've paid for the camp upgrades and station. If you want several skills, split the workforce between their resources. The total gathering rate stays the same, but spreading the resources gives you longer before an individual storage slot fills.
A tier 3 Storehouse holds 150,000 of each resource, and an Iaia station can hold 350,000 XP. Contribute camp resources before their storage fills, then train when the station needs room. With 60 workers all gathering one resource from empty, camp storage fills in about 42 hours. A daily visit is an easy routine.
For faster camp progress, use any Command Centre workers you already have. Advance Time can also give a day of production from your current workers and assignments. Set the workers to the materials you need and make room in storage before casting.
